The recorded entertainment business model is fatally wounded. The internet allows the operation of a free market mechanism that is several hundred times more efficient than the bloated heavily intermediated music and film industries that are desperately trying to salvage their parasitic infrastructure. As more artists learn to profitably make direct contact with the consuming public through technology like the internet, we can expect to see ever more audacious and sinister attempts by the established studios to quash the peasant horde of consumers clamoring at the gates. The People are already armed with the technology that empowers them to complete the revolution. Critical mass is already achieved. The ancien regime of the studio system cannot survive this historic upheaval, even with the help of all the king's horses and all the king's men in Washington.
