I wrote the station and this is what I got from the program director. Hey Joseph, couple things here. First off yes we are in an adjustment period, but we are likely to stay the course we are on. Certainly still playing a wide variety of songs but yes the old sound of KGSR is gone. The market has evolved over the last few years and it was time for KGSR to do the same. MSS will not be coming back. It doesn't fit where the stations going...it certainly had some fans but it was time to move on. With regard to the 6 oclock news I miss that to. We just didn't see how that would work without Jody. We started doing the Newsbreak with Andy Langer which is pretty good, but it's not the same. We'll certainly look at adding some weekend specialty programming as we roll on but the focus right now is to get the KGSR music blend on track. Thanks for writing. So I guess they are going to morph into another mindless top 40 pop station. I am sorry to see that after 15 years of listening.
